In 2000 on the hallowed boards of the Inglewood Playhouse, the AATE was birthed with a committment to producing DYNAMIC Black theater; since that time, under the helm of Founder, Eric Quander, the organization has endured to present dynamic productions featuring unforgetable talent. As we approach the organization's 20th Anniversary, that committment contines, implementing technology and reinterpreting classic works that shift paradigms of what contemporary theter can be.
The AATE will create, develop and present programs, events and productions that are worthy to take their place in the tomes of "great" theater. Our productions bring together talented artists and technicians from around the world to create DYNAMIC Black theater. William C. Haugabrook started his career as an Actor and Performing Artist in Los Angeles, California and later became an International Producer of Special Events and live performances (Venues include: Elton John, Kanye West, Nikki Minaj, The Rolling Stones and A Mid-Summers Night Festival.) With over 25 years of experience, William’s primary objective is being a force for positive change by producing events, for the betterment of society, and in educating the leaders of tomorrow. As a managing partner of one of the largest African American Financial Services firms in America: National Care Financial Group, William consults industry professionals and businesses to meet a number of insurance and financial needs, such as Retirement and Estate Planning, Tax Free Banking and lifetime income strategies. William is a certified Life Coach and currently completing his book on financial empowerment.
The AATE continues to forge relationships with the creative industry's most DYNAMIC individuals and organizations. Entities willing to challenge the boundaries of contemporary theater and performance art.

Eric Quander, aka “Q” is an artist, author, and adventurous amputee. A professional artist with over 20 years of performance and production experience, Q is recognized as Founder of the African American Theatrical Ensemble (AATE). In 2018, he became a left-below the knee amputee (LBKA); since that time he has become a much sought after writer and is Contributing-Editor, to both of the nation’s top periodicals targeting those dealing with limb-loss, AMPLITUDE and IN-MOTION Magazines.
A Certified Life Coach, Q is known as “the life coach for amputees,” and author of several publications, including “The Amputee’s Guide to Meditation: Anytime, Anywhere in 5 Minutes or Less!” and “Breaking the Walls: A 12 Month Journey to Deconstructing the Thoughts That Block Us”.
